First Ladies Forever Part 2

While Jackie O looked so amazing and is clearly my favorite, it is impossible for me to not be swept away by the grace, gown and glam accessories used by Michelle Obama for her inaugural ball ! It was such a stunner and she looks so fresh and beautiful in her ivory gown by Jason Wu.

She looked amazing in the dress and her style statement is fresh and uniquely her own for a First Lady ! Bravo

Do you welcome ‘Loungerie’

The French take fashion seriously and age seems not to be a barrier. Browsing through the net an article in CNN caught my eyes about the French fashion house Jaures Après Lines, and their new collection “Loungerie”.

The concept behind this new collection is to create a brand dedicated to “loungerie” just for children (Lounge wear and Lingerie together), which can be worn inside or outside.  The designs are similar to lingerie which to me is beautiful but only on an adult. Without sounding orthodox, hardly any clothes seemed appropriate for children.

What is hotly debated and discusses is that more than the lingerie itself it is the styling and marketing of the product that has come into being so disturbing. The 14 year olds are seen with matching panty and bra, teased hair, lipstick, pearls and a come hither look!

Coco Channel said “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses alone. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live” but I doubt if this interpretation of fashion by the French is even noteworthy.

My Wish list

I have a huge fetish for Jumpsuits but it is often a little difficult to find one that’s my size and not too long . But that does not stop me from wanting more of them.

Some thoughts on wearing a Jumpsuit:

1. Break it up with a belt. It helps create definition and according to which part you want to accentuate( Upper half or midriff)  you can choose a belt (wide belt or tassel belt)  and position it.

2. Silk, satin numbers go well for a nighout, floral’s look better for day time.

3. Embellished jumpsuits or accessories helps to bring focus to your assets

4. Shoe: When in doubt good old platform pumps won’t let you down.

5. If you are short a Capri length or Angle cut jumpsuit will make you look taller.

6. I personally prefer a wide leg jumpsuit, but there are other awesome styles too!

I have literally fallen in love with this Gucci Jumpsuit! I love it ! and hope some day to get it and fit it :)

Olivia Wilde rocks this look ! It is very hard to recreate this look without this fabulous jumpsuit ! Any thoughts on how we can?

Bold Ethnicity by Masaba

Young designer Masaba is just 2 season’s old but already leaves you either loving her or completely aghast at her use of bold color and prints.

My personal Favorites from the collection are the  dresses, shorts and the jumpsuits.

What do you think about the design’s? I surely have my eyes on the green jacket and polka shorts !
