As a little girl, I loved to play princess, my favorite part was of course wearing a plastic tiara and walking with my mothers scarfs as veil. So if you can wear a real tiara and walk down a stage, feeling like a princess in real, would that not be the most wonderful! Dreams come true, is it not? or maybe not really!
So, is the Baby beauty pageants such a big deal. Why all the fuss if it’s just kids living their dreams, wearing pretty clothes and tiaras!
With so much money involved, and $$$ in fees. The child pageant seems to be pushing the limits of harmless and fun time for children with fake lashes, teased hair and now fake asses and boobs a la Dolly! Surely, it is a little not appropriate for many out there!
As much as I heart starting young, pageants for infants with millions of dollars involved is not just fun time for children! I strongly feel an age limit of 13 at least is a good idea for pageants. Or maybe I am just old-fashioned and still wish for debutante balls lol.
Do child beauty pageants takes the child out of the pageant!

Okay, well I used to do pageants when I was their age, and it’s changed oksy I’ve only done 3 glitz, and 25 natural pageants. I think it’s perfectly fine, esspecially if the child is having fun. But I HATE the idea of Glitz pageants, that’s where the fake is brought in. I think if it’s a glitz pageant, bleaching their teeth is better than the flipper, I think the makeup is fine, since it’s on stage with lights and the lashes are fine. but then when they tan their child, or the fake butts and boobs, is taking it to the next level, let’s not forget they’re children. Natural pageants are much better they allow minimal makeup and all natural beauty. Sorry for the long comment
Thank you so much for the lovely comments,so hppy to hear from you! and comments are lovelier when they are longer
You have put it better than me when you say Glitz Pageants are fake and not others, a distinction I had over looked! and I agree to that, anything is good in moderation. As long as children have fun, it is fun.
A pageant without too much glitz is more welcome than what it is going to now!
Hey girlie! I definitely agree, the show Toddlers and Tiaras takes it way too far! I’m sure most pageants aren’t actually like that, but it’s such a bad image to put out there. Anytime kids are being judged on their appearances, is probably the wrong thing to do. I prefer talent shows

A talent show over beauty show ! A good thought !

That show is hilarious =) the little are so cute (a little bratty) I totally agree with you about the age limit. Your not alone and I would have loved to have a debutante ball =)
I think beauty pageant is way too much for little girls, I don’t see it as fun I see it more as an stressful time for the child besides I think is kinda creppy to see little girls with that much makeup on and sometimes fake hair, is just too much!
